A Boil Water Advisory is in effect until Monday December 12th for all of the Hill n Dale area and residents on St Joe Road East who are serviced by Sellersburg Water.  Also be careful washing whites for the next couple of days.

Water Main Break Indian Oaks Trailer

Contractor has hit a main in the Indian Oaks Trailer Park requiring the water to be shut down and a boil advisory for just Indian Oaks to be put in place.  Residents should boil water.  There is more information of the Clark County Health Department Website on precautions.  The main should be repaired within the next 3 hours.  The Boil Advisory stays in effect until further notice. www.clarkhealth.net/foodwse.htm

Flooding

Residents of Sellersburg should not travel on the roads tonight if additional rains fall.  Silver Creek has reached 20ft and is rising not allowing the Sellersburg Basin to drain.  Flash flooding will be a problem with additional rains.  Roads that are closed include Penn Street and US 31 by Lakeside Subdivision.  Be safe if you see water across a street Turn around Don't Drown.

Please be prepared for storms Tuesday Night.  As you know night time storms are more dangerous because most are asleep and warning time is reduced.  Check batteries in your weather radio.  If you know of elderly persons who live alone check in with them today.  Be Safe. Be prepared.

Water Main Break

This alert is for people who live in the Beechwood, Dreyer Estate and Hill N Dale areas.  A main break at West Utica Street is being repaired.  No boil advisor is in effect as of yet.  An additional alert will be sent should a boil advisor be put in place. Alert : 8:47 AM December 8th 2009. People in the area can expect low water pressure.

Veterans Day Trash Pickup

Town of Sellersburg Offices will be Closed November 11, 2009 in observance of Veterans Day. Wednesday Trash Service and Yard Waste will be picked up on Thursday November 12th.  Reminder Fall Clean up starts November 16th thru November 21st.

Water Main Break (resolved)

There is a major main break at the Hwy 31 and Greenwood Road.  At this time there is no boil advisory. Customers will expierience low water pressure.  Crews are on scene and repairs will be made shortly.

Weather (resolved)

Silver Creek has shown signs of hitting a crest.  Camp Run Creek is at a stand still from Penn Street South.  What to expect over the next several days:  If rains fall at a high rate for more than 2 hours expect flash flooding and road closure is possible at Penn Street and US 31 at Camp Run.  Residents in the Lakeside area should be able to exit to the south through Butler Drive.  Forrest Estates and Creston should use Popp Ave.  If Popp Ave is covered we are ...

Water Main Break (resolved)

People living in Meyer Manor and along 311 from Hwy 60 south are having low water pressure until the main break is repaired.  We do not believe a water advisory will be in effect.  Additional information will follow should other action be needed.  12:27 PM Saturday
